Minister takes long way home from Antarctica

-

Arts, Culture and Heritage Minister Maggie Barry has been forced to cool her heels – literally – in Antarctica after her return home was delayed by weather. Barry was due back yesterday from a trip to see Scott Base and various historic huts in the Ross Dependency. Her trip was organised by the Antarctic Heritage Trust, which is charged with the protection of huts, including those built for Sir Edmund Hillary, Captain Robert Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton. Barry left last Wednesday.
