Why is Lyttelton so slow?

-

The damage from the earthquake to Wellington’s port facilities is considerable.

We have been told Wellington would lose $60 million per year without the cruise ships. But within one week of the earthquake, they made it possible for cruise ships to come into port.

It is now nearly six years since the February earthquake in Christchurch and I don’t know if it is even on the agenda to make it possible for cruise ships or ferries to come into Lyttelton.

For goodness sake Christchurch City Council and Lyttelton Port, get your head out of the sand.

Christchurch must be losing millions of dollars every year. Bill Newsom Redcliffs
