Son of Maher progressing

Group One performer Son Of Maher is working his way back to full health.

“He got hurt on the float. He cut his leg and then got an infection, but he’s doing well now and going to the beach on a daily basis,” said Michael Pitman, who prepares the four-year-old with his son Matthew.

Son Of Maher is in line for a trip north in January for the Gr.1 Harcourts Thorndon Mile at Trentham where he finished runner-up in last season’s Gr.1 Levin Classic.
