❚ July 14, 2016: Police shoot Shargin Stephens in Rotorua. He dies in hospital on July 26. ❚ July 12, 2016: Nick Marshall was shot by police executing a preplanned raid targeting methamphetamine and illegal firearms on his Hamilton warehouse. Marshall dies at the scene. ❚ June 10, 2016: Mike Taylor was shot dead by police responding to a call from his partner, near Paeroa, Waikato. ❚ September 8, 2015: Pera Smiler, 25, shot dead in Upper Hutt’s Main St. ❚ August 2, 2015: David Cerven, 21, from Slovakia, shot dead by police in Auckland. ❚ May 2, 2015: Vaughan William John Te Moananui, 33, shot dead by Thames police.
