CHRISTCHURCH LIVESTOCK SALES

Prime ewes lifted $2 to $2 a head with prices peaking at $120 at livestock sales at Canterbury Agricultural Park, in Christchurch, this week. Heavy ewes made $100-$120. A wet weekend reduced the prime lamb offering, however, this failed to dampen prices with heavy lambs at $123-$129.

Good store lambs made $82-$93

Values: A smaller yarding of prime lambs after the wet weekend saw the market remain on a par with the previous week. Heavy lambs made $123-$129, good $103-$118, medium $91-$100 and lighter $85-$90.
