CHRISTCHURCH LIVSTOCK SALES
Prime ewes were in strong demand as prices rose $3 to $5 at livestock sales at Canterbury Agricultural Park, in Christchurch, this week.
Ewe prices peaked at $131. Store lambs prices also lifted by $3 to $4 with top lambs making $90 to $95. The store lamb market was unchanged and the heaviest lambs reached $130. Prime lambs
Values: A small yarding of prime lambs with prices remaining on a par with last week’s sale. Heavy lambs made $120-$130, good $110-$120, medium $100-$110 and lighter $90-$100.
