Trade minister to talk TPP with Vietnamese officials
Trade Minister Todd McClay has travelled to Vietnam to hold talks with the Asian nation’s prime minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and trade minister, Tran Tuan Anh. They will be discussing developments for the TransPacific Partnership and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements – which both countries were party to. Two-way trade with Vietnam has more than tripled from $430 million in 2009 to $1.3 billion last year. Vietnam is also this year’s host for Apec meetings.
