Heavy lambs rose $3 a head with the rest of the yarding unchanged at livestock sales at Canterbury Agricultur­al Park, in Christchur­ch, this week.

The best prime lambs made to $168.

Heavy prime ewes made $115-$130 in a market ranging from steady to strengthen­ing compared with last week.

The best store lambs made $100-$113 in the smallest yarding of the season.

Prime lambs

Values: A large yarding sold strongly with heavy lambs increasing by $3 a head, making to $168.

Values were unchanged from last week for the rest.

Heavy lambs made $150-$169, medium $130-$149 and light $100-$129.
