Let us dress like female athletes – top golfer

-

Female golfers should be able to dress attractively like tennis players, says prominent LPGA player Sandra Gal (right).

The LPGA has moved to impose stricter dress standards, forbidding players from wearing plunging neck lines, tank tops, short skirts and tights.

However, the German golfer, who has been voted ‘‘hottest golfer’’ by the Golf Digest, disagreed with most of the governing body’s standards.

‘‘The only point I agree with is that there should not be low-cut tops, but I’ve never really seen that be an issue,’’ she told Sports Illustrated ."I think racerbacks look great on women and I think short skirts have been around forever, especially in tennis. ‘‘Our main objective is clear: play good golf. But part of being a woman, and especially a female-athlete, is looking attractive and sporty and fit, and that’s what women’s tennis does so well.’’ Gal said most golfers she had talked to disagreed with the new standards.
