Our world class hospital

Congratulations to Alistair Humphrey, CDHB board, specialists, and staff for their response to the despicable report from Treasury about the CDHB. Shame on them and Health Minister Jonathan Coleman who has backed them.

We are all recipients of kidney transplants at Christchurch Hospital from a world class nephrology team of specialists and a wonderful support staff of anaesthetists, registrars, nurses, dieticians and cleaners.

They formed an incredible wrap-around service to monitor our recovery at every stage. If they represent the standard of care throughout the hospital, board and staff should be honoured for their work, not denigrated. Christchurch Hospital has faced enormous challenges since the earthquakes and staff have risen above the daily difficulties.
