Road rage gun fear

-

A Canterbury woman claims she was tailgated by a driver who pulled up to her car and pointed what she thought was a gun at her. A police spokeswoman said the victim was driving along Infinity Dr in Pegasus, north of Christchurch, about 10.50pm on Wednesday when an approaching driver flashed his vehicle’s headlights at her because her lights were on high-beam. The vehicle, described as a green four-wheel drive, then turned and chased the woman, tailgating her car, the spokeswoman said. When she stopped to let the tailgating vehicle past, the 4WD pulled up next to her. The spokeswoman said the man driving the 4WD then ‘‘pointed something long and black’’ at the woman before driving away. The 4WD driver was described as European aged between 30 and 40 with short dark hair and a trimmed beard.
