CHRISTCHURCH STOCK SALES
Demand strengthened for prime lambs resulting in prices rising $4-$5 at livestock sales at Canterbury Agricultural Park, in Christchurch, this week.
The best lambs made $189 a head. Heavy ewes made $130-$150 in an unchanged market from last week.
Prime lambs
Values: A good line up met with strong demand. Prices increased $4-$5 across all weights with the top price going to a pen of four southdown lambs from Lincoln for $189.

Values: A medium yarding met with good demand this week. Ewe prices remained on a par with last week. Heavy ewes made $130-$150, medium $110-$125 and light $75-$95. Heavy lambs $175-$189, good $160-$172, medium $145-$158 and lighter $130-$140.
