Embattled minister dumps PM in it again over RNZ

Broadcasting minister Clare Curran denies suggesting Radio NZ chair Richard Griffin apologise by letter for inadvertently misleading a select committee over her meeting with Carol Hirschfeld, rather than appear in person. Curran confirmed leaving a voicemail with Griffin suggesting a letter, because time was of the essence, but said she was not suggesting he stay away to avoid questions about Hirschfeld’s resignation from RNZ. Ardern said it would have been preferable if she didn’t.
