We love Kowtow merino

-

Having long blazed the trail for ethical, sustainable fashion materials, I’m delighted to see Kowtow have now added its first merino pieces to the mix. The Wellingtonbased company have sourced a premium merino wool certified by ZQ Merino - a standard that ensures growers commit to the highest grade of animal welfare, environmental care and social responsibility.

“Since Kowtow started, fabric technology and sustainability have come a long way and there are now more options available to us,” says founder and creative director Gosia Piatek.

“As leaders in sustainable fashion, we thought introducing a new fibre was a natural step; New Zealand merino felt like the right place to start. The fibre is locally produced, renewable and traceable, and like our cotton it meets our standards for softness and ease of care. We are pleased to now have a warmer offering in time for winter.”
