Take a Kid Fish­ing Day Groynes Fish­ing Lakes, Belfast, Christchurch Sun­day, 9am-1pm for un­der 12, 1pm-7pm for un­der 17 Feed a kid a fish, feed them for an evening. Teach them to fish and they can fend for them­selves! Fish will be re­leased into the chil­dren’s fish­ing ponds at the Groynes on Sun­day. Tackle is pro­vided for the lit­tlest ones, and skilled an­glers will be on site to give ad­vice. What a way to wrap up the school hol­i­days.

Harry Lyon – To The Sea Al­bum Tour Blue Smoke at The Tan­nery, Wool­ston, Christchurch Sun­day, 6.30pm Of Hello Sailor fame, Lyon is cel­e­brat­ing his first solo al­bum with a na­tional tour. Pro­duced by one of Lyt­tel­ton’s finest, De­laney David­son, the al­bum oozes lyrics de­tail­ing Lyon’s bon vi­vant life­style. Teamed up with a band of Kiwi rock­stars, Lyon’s gig should be one hell of a night out, en­cased by Blue Smoke’s cosy vibe.
