Outdoor Cinema. Today from 5.30pm. The Arts Centre, Worcester Blvd, central Christchur­ch.

The second of two outdoor cinema events at the restored Arts Centre of Christchur­ch, sponsored by Leighs Constructi­on. A screening of Arthur Christmas will charm the little ones from 5.30pm, followed by Love Actually at 8pm, perhaps the most iconic festive movie of recent times. Entry by gold-coin donation, with food and drink available from stalls. Come early to secure a spot on the lawn.

Odyssey music event. Tomorrow from 4.30pm. Redzone land, 116 New Brighton Rd, Burwood.

Touted as a unique musical experience, this dance party is on red-zoned land in Christchur­ch’s east. Featuring Jupiter Project and a range of Kiwi and internatio­nal DJs, expect strobe lights and holograms, wild dancing and bright clothing.

Osmosis Dance Party. Tomorrow from 10pm. Lichfield Courtyard, 150 Lichfield St.

Kicking off a new public space in the city centre is Osmosis. Essentiall­y, it’s a rave in a courtyard, featuring 15 artists across four zones, surrounded by bars and eateries. Not one for the faint-hearted, this will roll into the wee hours. Expected to wrap up around 3am.
