Victoria Square sculpture

-

It seems O¯ ta¯ karo and the council have not learned from the previous blunders CERA made concerning Victoria Square. How dare they ‘gift’ this expensive sculpture on behalf of the taxpayer/ ratepayer without any thought or consultation?

This is a political decision, more post-colonial cringe, and I am sure it will be strategically placed to challenge the statue of Queen Victoria.

A more suitable site could be found elsewhere in the city. Stop cluttering this tranquil green space – remember, the majority did not want a major change to Victoria Square.
