Maxwell documents ruling

A judge ruled yesterday that documents Ghislaine Maxwell has sought to keep secret must be released this week. Maxwell’s lawyers had previously argued that information contained in the some 80 documents would cause ‘‘embarrassment’’ as they were ‘‘extremely personal’’ in nature. The documents were part of a civil lawsuit against Maxwell by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of the late Jeffrey Epstein’s accusers, which was brought in 2015 and confidentially settled in 2017.
