Feeney says thanks after sister found

-

Radio host Jay-Jay Feeney has thanked the police and public for helping find her sister Michelle. Feeney said she was expecting the worst when she posted on social media on Tuesday evening that her sister Michelle had been missing for a week in the South Island. But yesterday morning, thanks to the public’s help, she was able to share the update that her sister had been found safe. ‘‘Thank you so much for helping,’’ Feeney said on air on More FM’s drive show. Feeney said Tuesday had been a stressful and tough day. Her co-hosts on the show also explained how she had been tearful and making calls behind the scenes when they weren’t on air. Feeney said she and her family were all ‘‘very, very happy and relieved’’ Michelle had been found safe. ‘‘We needed to find her and we did. Thank God,’’ she said. Michelle Feeney, 44, had been seen last in the Blenheim-Picton area.
