The West Indies will begin day two of their fourday match against New Zealand A in Queenstown with opening batsman Kraigg Brathwaite needing 17 further runs for a firstclass double century. Brathwaite carried his bat through the first day's play to take the tourists to

353-3 at stumps, after captain Darren Bravo had won the toss and batted at John Davies Oval. Bravo himself reached 93 as the pair shared a

189-run stand for the second wicket, with no joy for the NZ A bowlers throughout the middle session. The firstmatch between the two sides ended in a draw last week.
