Ex-Canty batsman dies

Peter Rattray, a former Canterbury cricketer during the 1980s, has died. Rattray, 62, was a top order batsman who played 22 matches for the province in a career which stretched five seasons from 1980-81 to 1984-85. He scored 909 runs at 22.72 including one century, 133 against Central Districts in Nelson. He played his senior club cricket for High School Old Boys. His older sister Sue played for the White Ferns.
