Auckland houses soar

Buyers with expensive tastes have pushed Auckland average house prices to a new high at the city’s biggest real estate firm, Barfoot & Thompson. The agency’s new average for Auckland house sales spiked to $645,928 last month through an abnormal number of million-dollar property sales. Supply was lower than last year, with listings down by a seasonally adjusted 5 per cent.
