School awards to be held

This year’s Southland Secondary School Sports Awards will be held on October 26 at the Ascot Park Hotel. There have been some impressive achievements for school athletes this year with many achieving success on the international stage. Categories include: contribution to sport, participation in sport, five sportsperson of the year categories and person with a disability. Volunteers in sport and staff members who have assisted in sport through the year will also be acknowledged. The guest speaker this year will be World Timbersports Champion Bobby Dowling.
