Councillor faces the axe over ‘Hitler’ wine

-

A far-right city councillor who posed in front of bottles of wine branded with images of Adolf Hitler faces expulsion from her party. Jessica Biessman, 37, was photographed lounging on a kitchen work surface with the ‘‘Fuhrer wine’’ on a shelf behind. The former car saleswoman became an Alternative for Germany member in Berlin’s house of representatives two years ago. The party controls 27 of 160 seats and Biessman serves as its family policy expert. She has targeted the Islamic call to prayer, Germany’s ‘‘cuddly’’ justice system and migrant rescue ships.
