Hospice Honey proudly supporting Hospice Southland

-

At Hospice we are eternally grateful for the support we receive from our community.

We know you are at the heart of our hospice, ensuring we can be there for those in need.

You make up a vital part of our story and as a result we promise we will always strive to provide the very best care possible for patients and families entrusted into our care.

An example of how we live in such a caring community is Marcel Verger.

Marcel is the CEO of Hospice Honey, a community-based business that proudly supports Hospice Southland – it’s all in the name!

Marcel’s passion is in Beekeeping and takes great lengths to look after his bees to ensure the very best in delicious honey.

Even sweeter, the Hospice Honey is specially crafted from the clover fields in Southland to ensure the end customer gets the very best possible product … consistently.

‘‘Making the community a happier place is a goal we should all strive for,’’ Marcel says.

‘‘My ambition is to become a commercial beekeeper that produces a quality product time after time, while at the same time making the community a better place.

‘‘I believe that every terminally ill person in need of palliative care should have the support and access they need.

‘‘To fulfil my mission, I have decided to combine two elements: a passion for bees and a love for Hospice.

‘‘We never know when we may need Hospice in our lives so I’ve decided to start giving back now.’’

Marcel’s passionate statement in support of the work we do here at Hospice Southland, embraces the core value we hold ourselves to. Passionate, Collaborative, Encouraging, Grateful and Respectful.

If you have an idea of how you’d like top support your local Hospice. We’d love to talk.

We have a range of ways we can support you whether that’s through advice/guidance, branded merchandise or delivering a talk about the work we do.

Remember, we are here to bring you through a journey that’s rewarding, encouraging and engaging. We are here to help!

‘‘Making the community a happier place is a goal we should all strive for.’’ - CEO of Hospice Honey, Marcel Verger.
