Homer Tunnel upgrades

The Homer Tunnel on State Highway 94, near Te Anau, will be closed twice a day from June 2 to 5 between 10.30am and 12.30pm and between 1.30pm and 4pm for asphalting works. The New Zealand Transport Agency said the work was dependent on various factors and may be adjusted or postponed at short notice. There would also be a second week of closures from June 8 to 12 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, and 6pm to 10pm. The agency advised motorists to plan journeys accordingly as no detour was available.
