Dixon’s hopes take a dent
Scott Dixon’s Indycar championship hopes took a dent with a tough weekend in Detroit. Dixon finished seventh in the second race of the doubleheader yesterday as young Mexican Pato O’Ward collected his second win of the season. New Zealand’s other driver, Scott McLaughlin, finished 20th at the Raceway at Belle Isle Park. Dixon is third on the points table, 36 points adrift of O’Ward. Dixon’s team-mate Alex Palou is second, 35 points ahead of Dixon, while McLaughlin is 12th and remains the top rookie.
