Cordner forced to quit

-

Boyd Cordner says he would have been doing rugby league, himself and the Sydney Roosters an injustice playing on, conceding ongoing battles with concussion had robbed him of the confidence to compete in the NRL. After months of agonising, the Roosters, NSW State of Origin and Australian captain confirmed his retirement yesterday. Cordner, 29, became the third highprofile Roosters player to hang up the boots in 2021, joining Jake Friend and Brett Morris.
