The Business South Cycling Team boasts a strong lineup this year, but a significant amount of public attention will be focussed on their most experienced rider, Travis Kane, as he takes aim at his 23rd consecutive Tour of Southland finish this year. It is a feat never before accomplished in the history of the event, and Kane will certainly have a lot of support along the roads of Southland as he aims to write his name in the history books. The team’s Australian import, Max Campbell, finished fourth overall in the Grafton to Inverell Classic this year, a 228km epic, and also came home 14th overall at the Oceania Championships road race. Adam Bidwell will be starting his second Tour, and has some unfinished business with The Remarkables, after a fourth place finish on the queen stage last year, in spite of a tumble on the run in to the climb. Lewis Bower is a versatile rider, with results ranging from winning the U19 Time Trial Nationals, to a third in the Criterium Nationals. A solid stint in Europe means Bower will be riding for the Groupama FDJ feeder team next year. Watch our for this rider as he makes his Tour debut this year. Alex Skilton has found some success with podiums on stages in junior tours recently in Ibuilt, and Tasman tours, while Ewart Bower spent his time racing in France, both bringing valuable international racing experience to the team.
