The Onya Bike 1.5m team will feature a mix of ages and experience levels this year. Adam Chapman will be making his SBS Bank Tour of Southland debut, and has some solid results throughout the season to help him through, including a win in the U23 division at the Canterbury Road Race Championships, as well as a sixth place in the road race at Age Group Road National Championships. Chris Bisley will also be making his Tour debut this year, and is a former Ironman triathlete and ultra marathon distance runner. He found his way back to cycling after a running injury, and hopes to tick the Tour off his bucket list this year. David Liu will be making his Tour debut as well, and as a time trial specialist he will be looking forward to Stage 7 in Winton, but will have to make it through pretty much the entire Tour to get there. Hamish McDonald originally started riding as a junior, but has been back at it since 2011. A well performed rider across road and track, with experience racing the Calder Stewart series, his goal is to test himself against the best riders in New Zealand, and have a good go at taking home the Silver Jersey for first rider in the Over 35 category. Jamie Campbell is another Tour debutant, at 48 years of age, while final team member

Kyle Gray will be coming into the Tour on a high after winning the Kelvin Hastie Memorial handicap race in Otago recently.
