Driver badly hurt in crash

A seriously injured driver was hospitalised after a two-car crash on Queens Dr on Friday night.

The collision, reported about 8pm, occurred on the block between Yarrow and Gala streets, and involved a Mazda Axela and a Toyota Corolla.

Both drivers were taken to Southland Hospital, and police confirmed one was seriously injured and the other suffered moderate injuries.

Police would be making inquiries into the crash.
