Militants kill officers

Militants killed six people in a police vehicle in northwest Pakistan, officials said yesterday. Police officer Rab Nawaz Khan said the attack in the Lakki Marwat district came during a routine patrol. The attackers escaped on motorcycles. No group has claimed responsibility, but Islamic militants in the region had been involved in previous attacks on security forces.
