Landers land Argentine
The Highlanders have signed uncapped Argentine winger/fullback Martin Bogado on a two-year deal to add some size to their back three. The 24-year-old is 191cm and 97kg and is said to possess a big kicking game, attributes that led to a callup to Argentina’s squad for their November tests. Highlanders coach Clarke Dermody said they were attracted to Bogado’s stature, with the crossfield kick an established attacking weapon in the modern game. Bogado has been playing for Bayonne in the French Top 14 competition and had two outings for an Argentinian XV against Portugal and Georgia in the July test window.
