Presbyterian Support names new chief executive
has been named Presbyterian Support Southland’s new chief executive. The organisation is one of Southland’s largest charitable social and health services providers. Russell will replace Michael Parker, who is returning to Christchurch to be with family at the end of this year. Russell was raised in Southland before venturing overseas for work but returned five years ago with his wife and two children. He has extensive experience across several sectors including commercial and nonprofit, in executive and governance roles. Russell has worked as the Southland District Council’s infrastructure and environmental services group manager. He also holds governance roles with Active Southland (previously known as the Regional Sports Trust) and Milford Sound Tourism Ltd.
