Pupils take hurdles in their stride
Hauroko Valley Primary School pupil Boe Gray leaps over an obstacle at the annual Mitre 10 Mega Tough Kid event held at Rugby Park Invercargill yesterday.
Rugby Park was again transformed into an obstacle course that included tyres, cargo nets, slides, inflatables and other fun obstacles.
The event targets schoolchildren in years 3 to 8 and attracted hundreds from all over Southland to Rugby Park for the day.
The night before, a lowsensory event was held for children who are not comfortable in large crowds or around loud noise so they could enjoy the obstacle course at their own pace.
