New Warrior will face wait

‘‘We’ve got a lot of healthy competition at the club, so he’s going to have to do his time.

‘‘He has to get a feel on the way we do things first, so we’ll give him time, but we want him to push through with performance,’’ McFadden said.

The battle for playing spots among the forwards could be even fiercer when Ligi Sao becomes available for selection.

Sao, who rejoined the club from the Sea Eagles last year, dislocated his shoulder in the preseason trial game against the Titans.
