TIMARU Timaru Cenotaph on Queen St 6am will include a short parade, two minutes silence, last post, reveille and a small wreath and poppy laying ceremony. Timaru Cemetery Service, Domain Ave 6.45am will include two minutes’ silence, last post, reveille and poppy laying. Washdyke Sir Basil Arthur Park 9am. Timaru Civic Service 10am, service at Caroline Bay Sound Shell, will include two minutes’ silence, parade past the Field of Remembranc­e (over 1,100 white crosses have been built which represent every man and woman from South Canterbury who perished in WWI), flyovers by SC Aero Club, speeches from NZDF representa­tive & SC RSA President Greg O’Brien, hymns, last post, reveille and our 42 wreaths with accompanyi­ng histories will be laid.
