Finally – a decent night’s sleep

The Timaru Herald - - FRONT PAGE - Joanne Holden

A year on from welcoming their second set of twins, Nicole and Gus Lang have at last scored a full night’s sleep.

Adapting to life with double the nappies, formula, and children after the birth of Betty and Delilah Lang on New Year’s Eve, 2017 – two and a half years after their siblings, twins Bernie and Dorothy – has been a rollercoaster for the Langs of Mt Somers.

But the household has calmed down a bit since the pair set a New Year’s resolution: get all four sleeping through the night.

‘‘At the moment we get a bit of free time at night, so I see this year we’ll have a bit more time to ourselves,’’ Nicole said.

The first year of Bernie and Dorothy’s life was ‘‘all a big blur’’ so going through it all again meant ‘‘making it all up again’’, she said.
