‘Strong’ robbery leads
No further arrests have been made over the armed robbery of a Timaru supermarket on Friday, but Inspector Dave Gaskin says police are hot on the heels of the remaining suspects. At the weekend, a 14-year-old girl was charged in connection with the robbery of Morgans Road Food Market. Gaskin said police had some ‘‘very strong’’ leads. He said while it had been a busy end to the week with stabbings in a gang fight also being investigated, extra staff were not required.
