Robert Ireland Exhibition: Exhibition at the York St Gallery on York St Timaru. Runs until October 31.

The Three Rs: Exhibition at the South Canterbury Museum on Perth St. The history of education in South Canterbury. Runs until November 24.

The Clouds Project: Exhibition at the Aigantighe Art Gallery on Wai-iti Rd. The Clouds Project draws together art and performanc­e in response to the famous Greek comedy, The Clouds, written by the playwright Aristophan­es. Runs until October 20. Readings of a contempora­ry New Zealand version of the play are running at set times, contact Aigantighe Art Gallery on 03 688 4424 for details.

Train rides and tour: 11am-3pm at Pleasant Point Museum and Railway. Daily rides on the Ford Model T Railcar, an hour long guided tour of the museum and a short historic movie. Runs throughout the school holidays.

Pop Up Sport & Rec Activities: 11am-3pm at Caroline Bay. A range of activities for children aged 11-17 year olds. No charge.

Skating to music: 10-11.30am at Waimate Event Centre. Open to all ages, bring long socks. Entry $5.

Indoor climbing: 1.30-3pm at Waimate Event Centre. Open to all ages, all equipment supplied. Entry $6.

Flare Geraldine: 6-11pm at Stonebridg­e Weddings and Events. A funfilled evening of food, fashion and entertainm­ent. Tickets from Trio Boutique, Geraldine and Little Hero Kids, $50.

Beer Dinner: 6.30-11pm at Riverstone Kitchen on Glenavy Hilderthor­pe Rd. Annual event with this year’s brewery Rhyme and Reason Brewery, Wanaka. Tickets $100. TODAY and TOMORROW

Art on Bikes: 10am-1pm at the corner of West View Drive and Whiterocks Rd. Cycle the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail from Weston to Oamaru. No charge.

Spring Glory Extravagan­za: 11am3pm at Timaru Botanic Gardens. Stalls including arts, crafts, plants, food, bouncy castle and raffles. Entry by gold coin donation towards Alzheimers SC.

Steam day: 12.30-4pm at The Pleasant Point Museum and Railway.
