What’s on in SC this weekend

ONGOING Soundsplash: Festival at Caroline Bay, Timaru. Camp at the Bay for a three-day music event with an international lineup including Stan Walker, Peking Duk, and Tiki Taane. The Dividing Line: Exhibition at the Aigantighe Art Gallery on Wai-iti Rd, Timaru, by Nelson and German-based painter Lisa Chandler.

Railcar ride and museum tour: 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm each day at the Pleasant Point Railway & Museum. Ride the Ford Model T railcar to the museum for a 45-minute tour.

New Zealand Superbike Championship: 7am-5pm at Levels International Raceway on Falvey Rd, Timaru.

Fundraising garage sale: 9am12.30pm at St Joseph’s Church Hall on Denmark St, Temuka. The Salvation Army Disaster Appeal will benefit, to help those affected by the fires in Australia.

Waimate Museum Open Day: 11am-3pm at the Waimate Museum & Archives on Shearman St. A steam engine will be running alongside market stalls and a barbecue.

LGBT meet-up: 2-5pm in the Royal Arcade, Timaru.

South Island Mountain Bike Cross Country Championships: 8am-4.30pm at Centennial Park, Timaru. Steaming day: 10.30am-4pm at the Pleasant Point Railway & Museum.
