Sydney matches moved

-

Cricket Australia has moved Sydney’s first three Big Bash games to Canberra as Queensland’s Covid-19 situation threatens to further complicate matters. Big Bash officials confirmed yesterday that games on January 13, 16 and 18 would all move to Manuka Oval, with five more Sydney matches still up in the air. Canberra has not recorded a locallyacquired case in almost six months, and was earlier used as a competition hub. State border issues make playing games in Sydney near impossible. There are two Sydney-based sides, the Thunder and Sixers, in the series.
