Four sick with Covid
Four new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in managed isolation in the past two days, as well as two historical cases.
They arrived from Germany, India, Egypt and Uganda, and the historical cases came from the Philippines and United Arab Emirates and are deemed not infectious.
There are no cases in the community. New Zealand has now gone 106 days with no new community transmission.
On Friday, it was reported two people were in Auckland’s Middlemore Hospital with the virus. They were transferred from managed isolation facilities earlier in the week. Yesterday, the Ministry of Health said both patients were in a stable condition.
The ministry said the quarantine-free travel pause would continue with Victoria until Thursday.
It would be reviewed on Wednesday.
