Ko jumps up leaderboard

New Zealand’s Lydia Ko will head into the final round of the LPGA Mediheal Championship one shot outside the top 10 after a strong third round saw her improve nine places to sit in a share of 11th position yesterday. Ko is five shots off leader Min Lee at fourunder for the tournament after registering a second successive score of twounder 70 at Daly City in California. Ko was satisfied with her performance after mixing four birdies with two bogeys to move within three shots of second. ‘‘Yeah, I felt like overall I played pretty solid,’’ she said. ‘‘Got a few loose ones out there, but I feel like no matter what round you have you feel like you could have done better. Even though the wind has been a little bit calmer than I would’ve expected, the course itself is pretty tricky.’’
