Incidents reported to police included:

■ A person (age and gender unknown) will appear in court after being caught drinkdrivi­ng at 10.05pm on Friday on State Highway 1 near Winchester. Senior Sergeant Dylan Murray said the person blew 592mcg on the breathalys­er test.

■ Disorder was reported to police at the intersecti­on of Stafford and Beswick streets at 8.30pm on Friday. Murray said one man was arrested but not charged.

■ A Timaru man had his license suspended for excess demerit points at 1.50am on Saturday at Caroline Bay.

■ A 37-year-old man was arrested for theft at Countdown Brown St on Saturday at 10.30am. Murray said the man was trying to steal a box of beer which was later recovered.

■ A youth was referred to youth aid after they crashed their car into a fence while doing burnouts on Landsborou­gh Rd at 7pm on Saturday.

■ A Timaru woman issued with an infringeme­nt notice for drink-driving on Selwyn St at 7pm on Saturday. Murray said the woman blew 302mcg on the breathalys­er test.

■ At 12.30am on Saturday, police stopped another person for drink-driving on Le Cren St. Murray said the driver elected a blood test and police are awaiting the results.

A two-car crash was reported to police on the intersecti­on of Theodosia and North streets at 12pm on Sunday. Murray said there was minor damage to the vehicles and inquiries into the crash are ongoing.

■ A 22-year-old man was caught speeding at 156kmh on Timaru-Pareora Highway at 3.10pm on Sunday. Murray said the man’s license was suspended and he will appear in court.
