■ A 38-year-old man stopped by police on Evans St at 11pm on Monday was found to be a disqualified driver. Senior Constable Timorthy Easton said his vehicle was impounded and he has been summonsed to court.

■ A 27-year-old man from Hurunui, driving a heavy truck and trailer unit, was found to be a forbidden driver who did not hold a licence to drive the vehicle when stopped by police on King St in Temuka at midday on Monday. The truck has been impounded and the man has been summonsed to court.

■ A vehicle was impounded on Latter St at 10.30pm on Monday for historical disqualified driving matters. Easton said the driver of the vehicle is known to police and has yet to be spoken to.
