Truck overturns

There were no injuries when a Daily Freight truck and trailer unit overturned in a crash on State Highway 1 near Otaio on Friday morning. Police said the crash occurred at 12.30am and blocked the northbound lane for a short time. Fire and Emergency NZ said crews from St Andrews and Washdyke stations attended. Hato Hone St John said it was notified of the single vehicle crash and dispatched an ambulance crew to the scene but it was stood down prior to arrival. A Daily Freight spokesperson declined to comment about the crash.
