Man denies raft of charges

A 35-year-old man pleaded not guilty to 21 charges, including 18 for receiving stolen property valued at about $9000, when he appeared in the Timaru District Court yesterday. Eugene Corbin, of Timaru, was remanded in custody by Judge Dominic Dravitzki for a case review hearing on January 24, 2023. The alleged received goods include a generator, kayak, bird baths, telescope, white elephant statue, a leaf blower, mandarin plants, a large outdoor pot, television, a Takacat inflatable boat, three life jackets and accessories, Starmix vacuum and wall sander and three Asahi beer kegs. The other three charges are possession of cannabis, methamphetamine and ammunition.
