Coro favourite shows his com­mit­ment to the Street

Antony Cot­ton (left), one of Coro­na­tion Street’s most pop­u­lar ac­tors, will be stay­ing on the soap a while longer. Cot­ton, who has played Sean Tully (one of Weather­field’s first gay char­ac­ters) for 15 years, has signed a new con­tract with his soap bosses that will en­able him to re­main for at least one more year. The star re­veals he has be­gun film­ing a plot which he says is “very new and very dif­fer­ent”.
