The Kiwi men in my life

Penny McNamee loves her Kiwi co-stars on Home And Away so much she is planning a trip here. In a nod to the Summer Bay doctor she has played for the past two years, she’s dubbed it the Tori Morgan Boyfriend Tour.

“She’s only had four boyfriends and they’ve all been Kiwis. Isn’t that amazing?” McNamee says. “Kia ora – I know all the language and I know all about the areas where the boys are from. I’m pretty much an honorary New Zealander now.”

The unlucky-in-love doc was being romanced by fellow medico Nate (Kyle Pryor) when she attracted the eye of Alf Stewart’s wayward son Duncan (Benedict Wall). Then came a fling with former boyfriend Riley (Ryan O’Kane) and, most recently, she has endured a tempestuous relationship with Ash (George Mason).

However, she refuses to play favourites with her co-stars.

“The love interest is someone you work with for 12 hours every day and those four men have been such lovely, lovely co-stars,” McNamee says.

“I’m really good friends with all four of them. And, on top of that, a couple of them are really good mates too.

“Benedict Wall was a groomsman for Ryan O’Kane and I would have loved to be at the wedding.

“I was invited and that was going to be my big trip to New Zealand this year but we couldn’t make it work. I was very sad about that.”
